Set up to experiment with sustainable business models in publishing, Narretief is a portmanteau  of the Dutch words Nar (jester, or fool) and Narratief (narrative).

* handle books, both fiction and non-fiction: translation, editing, illustration and production – and marketing and promotion , if you like, from English, German and French into Dutch;

* develop language & literature learning methods to be used in school;

* cross sectors, creating mesmerizing multimedia versions of stories in collaboration with professionals from various art disciplines.

 

One team to each project

Narretief works with one team of select professionals for each project to keep overhead to a minimum while guaranteeing the buzz of personal commitment, high professional quality, and individual artistry all projects thrive on and deserve. Selection of members is based on  the needs of the project and the wishes of our clients. All teams are overseen and chosen in collaboration with literary translator Ine Willems, member of the Dutch Authors’ Guild.
